Did you know, in Canada, the third week of February is known as “Kindness Week”?

There is even a bill enacted on June 3, 2021, making Canada the first country in the world to pass such legislation. The purpose of this week is to improve the health and well-being of Canadians by encouraging “acts of kindness, volunteering, and charitable giving.” Celebrate Kindness Week with the following workshop: Kindness is a powerful resource that we all have the ability to draw upon at any time. Unlike other resources that we depend on, the power of kindness lies in the fact that being kind doesn’t cause a deficit when practiced. It results only in a positive return for yourself and others involved. Throughout this one-hour session, participants will learn more about the importance of kindness along with its many benefits for oneself, others, our relationships and our environments. We’ll explore ways to be kind in the workplace and beyond.
