Captured Caring: Inspiring moments from December 2024
Every day our people at Sinai Health are doing extraordinary things. Captured Caring is a series featuring submissions from our people to provide you with inspiration and encouragement as we care for patients and each other.
“The Pre-Admission Unit (PAU) and Post-Anesthetic Care Unit (PACU) teams have been busy giving back this holiday season. PAU organized a successful toy drive, collecting gifts for children in need, while PACU hosted a food drive for the PWA Food Bank, responding to the rise in food bank usage. The PACU and PAU teams, along with their dedicated colleagues, are proud to be making a meaningful impact in the community and help brighten the season for families in need."

“This month, the Maximizing Aging Using Volunteer Engagement (MAUVE) program collaborated with the University of Toronto’s Noteworthy musical club to bring holiday cheer to geriatric inpatients. Volunteers, co-op students, and stakeholders also gathered to celebrate the season’s spirit. The refreshed MAUVE program, now expanding to the 6th floor at Hennick Bridgepoint Hospital, aims to reduce loneliness and delirium by facilitating patient-centered activities and fostering meaningful connections with volunteers. Thank you, MAUVE team!”
