Psychiatry
Our Psychiatry team offers compassionate and inclusive patient-centred mental health and addictions services. We work in a variety of settings across Mount Sinai and Hennick Bridgepoint Hospitals.
We assess and treat psychiatric illness and addiction in patients who are pregnant, older adults and those managing the complex intersection of physical and mental illness.
Our team also runs programs that provide support for care partners, including those caring for older adults with dementia. These programs aim to help caregivers cope with the demands of caregiving and reduce emotional stress.
Expanding beyond the hospital into the community, our psychiatry team delivers outreach clinical care to marginalized and older adult populations. We also prioritize the well-being of our of health-care providers by offering resilience training and support.
Sinai Health is fully affiliated with the University of Toronto. As such, we are dedicated to teaching best clinical practices to the next generation of psychiatry and mental health professionals.
