Psychiatry

We provide mental health and addictions services for pregnant patients, older adults and people experiencing both physical and mental illness.

Our Psychiatry team offers compassionat and inclusive patient-centred mental health and addictions services. We work in a variety of settings across Mount Sinai Hospital and Hennick Bridgepoint Hospital.

We assess and treat psychiatric illness and addiction in patients who are pregnant, older adults and people managing the complex intersection of physical and mental illness.

Our team also runs programs that support care partners, including those caring for older adults with dementia. These programs help caregivers cope with the demands of caregiving and reduce emotional stress.

Expanding beyond the hospital into the community, our psychiatry team delivers outreach clinical care to marginalized and older adult populations. We also prioritize the well-being of our health-care providers by offering resilience training and support.

Sinai Health is fully affiliated with the University of Toronto. Because of this, we are dedicated to teaching best clinical practices to the next generation of psychiatry and mental health professionals.
